A collection of five separate devised works, the set for this piece had to support these stories and meet each of their needs. As such I utilized modular set pieces and projections to serve each individual show. The overarching design concept was that of paper collage, utilizing small pieces to tell a larger story.
The screen surround and proscenium arch was covered in this collage, with each show being represented in a specific paper type/texture. This also allowed for lighting opportunities, with cyc lights concealed at the base of the archway. Lighting designers for each individual show were able to alter the appearance of the archway and tie it into their individual color story.
